This project involved the design of a guest chalet adjacent to an existing main residence in Mansonville, Quebec. The objective was to create a comfortable and independent accommodation for guests, with two functional bedrooms, each featuring its own bathroom.
The design was developed around a prefabricated construction approach. The chalet’s volumes were carefully conceived to allow the components to be fabricated during the winter and installed on site in the spring, optimizing both the construction process and the project schedule.
The project explored the relationship between residential architecture, modular construction, and integration with the existing site, while prioritizing functionality, efficiency, and comfort.
